Oasis (watercolour 17 x 27 cm)

I’ve just come back from a few days in the Suffolk countryside. On Monday the skies were resolutely grey and it was freezing cold. By Wednesday the sun was shining and although it was still freezing, it didn’t feel nearly as cold. Amazing what good light does for the senses (and the mood).

I’ve just popped this painting into the online gallery in celebration of 1st March. The first day of spring may be cold, but it’s the beginning of the better weather which is something to celebrate.
